I hate to write bio things when sites ask for it; but in this case, I think I need to introduce myself.
My name is Ana, I have a job, but creating is my passion. I have made so many things, but had to stick to one thing so I can manage it. I have ADHD, so I have a hard time keeping track of things and being organized. Please bear with me, I will try to keep from getting distracted by shinny things.
I wasn't interested in calling attention to the fact that I am a U.S. Army Veteran. I don't think it should be considered. A dear friend explained it to me. He said some people, like us, will rather buy from a veteran owned business. I didn't notice that I do pick the businesses that have the little flag and sign of "Veteran Owned Business". I signed up in 1999, and started as a fueler. In 2004, I cross-trained as Military Police. I wanted to do that since I can remember. I was 5, and had a little red car with pedals, that was my police car. I used to have "police chases" in my yard, with my trusty police dog. I met my now husband in the Army, we both got deployed to Iraq for a year. He was sent one more time to Iraq and one more deployment.
I work at a Middle School in the mornings/afternoons. In the evening, I have been neglecting my chores, and making candles. I am obsessed with all the fragrances. Our home smells wonderful right now. I have a husband and three cats, who get to be the first ones to smell my candles.
I have been going to Farmer's markets here and there when possible. I also went to "Biker Night" at our American Legion. That was fun! I hope to do a little here and there. I rather work by word of mouth and friends and acquaintances, sometimes I am too tired at the end of the week to go to a market. And, my chores pile up.
I have been putting together these candles, I test them, sometimes in different ways. I want to make sure they will behave in your home.
Please practice candle safety. Sand candles self extinguish if they are knocked over and the sand falls out. Please take necessary safety precautions like not putting it within reach of children or pets, not placing it near curtains, or any other flammable material. Please don't let it burn unattended, never have it out of sight while burning.
If used responsibly, there shouldn't be any issues. You will enjoy the soft warm light from it that brings feelings of safety, and peace. There are so many scents to choose from! Or you can order something like "from the floral family", and I will surprise you with something you will absolutely love.
I have candle jars, and once in a while I can get my hands on other beautiful vessels, usually one or two at a time. If you sign up for notifications, I can send you any special finds or new scents before posting them online for sale. You can be the first one to see them.
Nice to meet you, Welcome to my virtual home.
